Wine Tours in Alsace

What we offer for individuals, groups and companies:

One Day Wine Tours in Alsace

Fabulous wine tastings, with intimate encounters, and cellar door experiences with the people who produce it. Serendipity at every turning, beautiful landscapes laid out before you, be it the foothills of the Vosges Mountains, amongst the vines or along the Plain of Alsace.
We’ve been organising tours since 1994 and if you are visiting Alsace why not take advantage of the high-quality services Glenn Ford and his team offer. Our customised mini-tours start in many different parts of Alsace and offer a unique insight into our region. We offer the services of French and English speaking “Bicyclette Go!” guides who accompany you. Here is an example of a typical tour, everything of which is flexible:

- 9h30 Pick up from your hotel in the Bicyclette Go ! minibus.

-10h00 Arrive in wonderful medieval wine village of Riquewihr, known as the pearl of Alsace, and enjoy a leisurely guided walking tour of the village. We will visit a prestigious family run winery for a small tasting.

-11h15 Leave Riquewhir and drive through the vineyards to Kaysersberg, voted the most beautiful village in france in 2017, via the wine village of Kientzheim. In Kaysersberg, the birth place of Nobel Peace Prize winner Albert Schweitzer, explore the town and its magnificent fortified bridge, and climb up the 113 steps to the top of the castle tower which overlooks the town (if we want to).

-12h30 Drive through the vineyards to Turckheim and then follow the famous Route des 5 Châteaux (the 5 Castle Route) to Eguisheim. This beautiful village was the home of Pope Leon IX in the 11th Century and we will meet him on the main square of the village. There will be time to taste some wine before lunch at one of our favourite restaurants. Eguisheim was voted the most beautiful village in France by the French in 2013 and we will explore its picturesque flower decked ramparts and Pope Leon’s chapel.

-14h30 From Eguisheim we will drive along the Alsace Wine Route to one of my favourite villages where we will stop to explore its wonderful Romanesque church and its unique cemetery. Weather permitting, we can visit the Schauenberg, a chapel set in the foothills of the Vosges Mountains. Here we have beautiful views of the Plain of Alsace and the Black Forest Mountains as well as the mysterious Devil's Stone.

-16h30 After visiting Rouffach and it’s unusual cathedral, we will enjoy a full wine tasting in our home village of Voegtlinshoffen, producer of some of the best white wines in the world!  In the village centre we will explain how our village was liberated by the Americans at the end of WW2.

-18h30 Arrive back at your hotel (all times are approximate and the format of your tour is flexible)
